This policy covers visitors to our site, people who chat with Sarah, and clients who have subscribed to a BuilderPilot package.

2. What we collect
From everyone who visits the site
- Technical information — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the time of your visit. Collected automatically by our hosting and security provider.
- Browser storage — a randomly generated identifier so we can recognize a returning visitor, and a second identifier that lasts only until you close the tab. Neither contains your name or contact details.
From people who chat with Sarah
- Everything you type, stored alongside the identifiers above and the time of the conversation
- Anything you volunteer in that conversation — your name, your company, what your business needs
We do not require you to identify yourself to use the demo.
From clients
- Account and contact details — name, business name, email, phone, billing address
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- Business information you share during onboarding so your AI coworkers can do useful work
- Information about your own customers that you choose to share
What we don't want. Please don't send us government identification numbers, financial account credentials, or health information. The service isn't designed to hold that, and we ask you not to put it there.
3. Why we use it

- To create and manage your account, and to take payment
- To protect the service from abuse — rate limiting, blocking automated attacks, and preventing misuse
- To improve how our AI coworkers respond
- To contact you about your account, and — if you've agreed — about our services
- To meet legal obligations and resolve disputes
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your business data with other BuilderPilot clients.
4. Who we share it with
Running the service means other companies process data on our behalf:

Each holds data under its own terms. This list may change as the service develops; we'll update this policy when it does.
We may also disclose information where legally required, or where necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

After these periods we delete or de-identify the data, unless we're required to keep it by law or need it to resolve an active dispute.
6. Your choices
Access and deletion. Email hello@builderpilotai.com and we'll provide a copy of what we hold about you, or delete it. For demo conversations, tell us roughly when you visited so we can find them.
Clearing browser storage. Clearing your browser data removes the identifiers this site stores.
Marketing email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing doesn't stop essential messages about your account.
Clients. You can export your business data at any time during your engagement.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — to correct inaccurate information, to limit certain processing, or to object to it. We apply these rights to everyone who asks, regardless of location, rather than checking whether you qualify.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections, restricted access to client data, and rate limiting to prevent abuse.
No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee unauthorized access will never happen. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you without undue delay.
8. Children
BuilderPilot is a business service and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we'll delete it.
9. Data location
Our providers may process and store data in the United States and elsewhere. By using the service, you understand your information may be processed outside your country of residence.
10. Changes
We'll update this policy as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated to active clients, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
